October is one of my favorite months...because it means the beginning of autumn. I have always been obsessed with all things related to autumn including pumpkins of all sizes, colorful leaves, the smell of spices, scarves, and pumpkin spice lattes. I have acquired a massive collection of colored tights & fuzzy scarves while rummaging through bargin bins during the hottest months of the year. I cannot wait until the weather begins to cool down, and I can once again dawn some of my autumn staples: tights, a pair of boots, and a scarf.
I wanted to welcome October by compiling a list of goals for the remainder of the month. I make a list of my goals every week and prioritize them carefully. Ever since I started high school, I have been an avid list maker. I have found that I can function more efficiently & productively when I have a set list of tasks to accomplish. I tend to have the attention span of a squirrel if I don't take the time to organize my schedule & make a to-do list.
Take more photos.
Cook 15 new recipes this month.
Make more time for reading.
Take a digital break every week.
Search for & post more of my favorite quotes.
Go to the dog park with George a few times every week.
Drink an obscene amount of water.
Clean out my closet & organize my office.
Let go of anger and make room for acceptance & love.
Buy lots of pumpkins for my front porch.
Have weekly date nights with my fiance.
Focus on the positive and let go of the negative.
Approach situations with patience.
Finish my crochet projects for this month.
Continue to write in my journal.
Begin & end each day with gratitude.
What are your goals for October?? Do you have some marvelous plans for Halloween? Zeth & I are hosting a Halloween themed engagement dinner at the end of the month. We are still working on costume ideas & party favors, but we are extremely excited about the entire shindig.
