Hello from Oklahoma, Lovely Friend! Right Now, I'm at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Regional Competition in Norman, Oklahoma.
During the fall, I was the stage manager for my university's production of The Foreigner. I was awarded meritorious achievement in stage managing and given the opportunity to compete against other stage managers in my region. I put together a display of my work, touched up my resume, and wrote a letter of intent prior to leaving for Oklahoma. The regional festival is being hosted by The University of Oklahoma in Norman.
We arrived in Oklahoma on Monday and plan to depart on Sunday after a week of interviews, workshops, and theatre shows. So far I have been extremely busy. I was given the opportunity to stage manage one of the events and work underneath a world renowned stage director & actor. It has been such an incredible experience so far, and I'm excited for what is to come in the next two days.
Pandora Radio for iPhone/iPod, legit strawberry milkshakes, gigantic bookstores, doing my cardio first thing in the morning to Rihanna, vintage cameras, mis-matched china, learning how to wear red lipstick from one of lovely friends, watching Disney movies on my iPhone with the Netflix app, sidewalk chalk, We Are Young (feat. Janelle Monáe) by Fun., Vera Bradley satchels, learning how to sew, quirky local shops, non-fat chai tea lattes from Starbucks, picture text messages of my pets, my amazing friends, making new friends, and the news of my sister coming home soon.
What are you thankful for today?
Lots of love & positive vibes,
