GOODBYE, JANUARY!!

Oh, February!!! You really have no idea how excited I am that you have arrived!!! Today is the very last day of January and then it will finally be FEBRUARY!!

I have always been pretty nuts about February and Valentine's Day. I know that a lot of people are anti-Valentine's Day (my sister is among the many Valentine Haters), but it is definitely my favorite holiday. I absolutely adore the idea of a day devoted to love. Not just the kind of love between couples. The whole wide world bursting with lots and lots of LOVE! That just excites me!!

I have so many ideas, goals, and plans in store for this coming month! I'm literally bouncing in my seat with excitement! In 3 weeks or so, our chamber choir will go on tour for a few days in San Antonio and Austin! AND we are going to see WICKED on our final night of touring! AH! SO excited! We are already planning outfits and coordinating our itinerary around some other fun events. CANNOT WAIT!

ALSO, My boyfriend and I are going to celebrate our first Valentine's Day together this month! I know that sounds super cheesy (and most of the Valentine's cynics are probably rolling their eyes right about now), but I am so happy and thrilled to be able to say that I have someone like Zeth to spend Valentine's Day with. He makes every day feel like Lovey Dovey Day.

Weekend Loveliness Tips

Spend your weekend doing lovely and magical activities!

♥ Rent a big stack of movies from your favorite video store. Make sure to pick out lots of movies that you've been meaning to watch. Grab someone cuddly and have a movie marathon on your couch or in bed. Pop some microwave popcorn and have fun!

♥ Wear your loveliest and laciest lingerie. Put on that delicate teddy or frilly babydoll. Most people save their lingerie for special occasions, but I think that is just silly. Wearing sexy lingerie is one of the best confidence boosters out there. You can spend an entire day wearing a lusty corset or a flirty bra and panty set under your clothes in secret. Kind of exciting, in my opinion.

♥ Bake some yummy cupcakes in your favorite flavor. My favorite flavor is strawberry cupcakes. Use colorful icing and sprinkles to decorate your delicious cupcakes. Invite some friends over to sample your baking.

♥ Put on some music and choreograph a little dance to go along with the lyrics. Practice it until you have the moves down. It's lots of fun and burns tons of calories.

♥ Write a letter to someone who means a lot to you. Let them know how you feel about them. Detail all those little things that you love about them. Mail the letter or hand-deliver it. Receiving your letter will make their day.

♥ Go stargazing. Bring someone along who is knowledgable about constellations and have them point out some of them. Marvel.

♥ Do something just for yourself. Something that will benefit only you. Practice a little self-love.

25 New Things Before I Turn 25!!

The beginning of 2011 has really inspired me to take a more positive and open attitude towards life. I've always been a pretty positive person, but I'm definitely guilty of avoiding change and new experiences. I feel like I use my shyness as a shield and let it inhibit me in a negative manner. Recently I've been saying 'yes' more than 'no' and that change has led to an amazing month so far. I'm also feeling inspired to make changes to my life in a positive way. I've never been the kind of person who makes serious resolutions at New Years. I've always been more interested in focusing on accepting myself the way I am. But I've seen the idea of making a list of goals on several blogs recently, and I decided that I want to make my own list. It's sort of like a Bucket List, but I'm shooting for my birthday in August as a due date. I'm really interested in this idea and would love to hear from you if you are doing something similar.

My 25 New Things Before I Turn 25:

♥25. Take and post pictures of myself at least once per week.

♥ 24. Watch all the movies and tv shows sitting in my instant queue on Netflix.

♥ 23. Travel abroad again.

♥ 22. Attend a professional ballet production or opera.

♥ 21. Learn to dance better by taking a class.

♥ 20. Visit my Dad in New Mexico.

♥ 19. Go to an aquarium.

♥ 18. Get an up-do just for the fun of it.

♥ 17. Host a formal tea party.

♥ 16. Read Wurthering Heights.

♥ 15. Volunteer at the Humane Society.

♥ 14. Attend a yoga/pilates class.

♥ 13. Complete a scrapbook.

♥ 12. Go to a live music concert.

♥ 11. Fill an entire sketch journal.

♥ 9. Finish the first issue of my online comic book and launch it.

Rah Rah ah ah ah!! Roma, roma ma!!!

Gaga oo la la!!!

I was in a Bridal Showcase today with some very lovely friends! We modelled some cute dresses and performed a dance to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance! It was such an amazing experience!!!

Above is a picture of me right before we went on stage. My friends, Trina and Alexis did our makeup and makeup and made us all look like beauty queens. This has been an extremely awesome weekend for me!!

The Little Things That Make My Heart Smile

I'm listening to all of my favorite songs from Glee right while composing this post!!

Oh, Loves! I'm so glad to be back and blogging! You have no idea how hard it was to be away from my main outlet of expression. Things have been very busy for me with classes and musical rehearsal. I'm in the chorus for our production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. I'm also taking my final theatre classes for my major in order to graduate. I'm already waist-deep in a research class for theatre criticism and directing for stage.

The Little Things that Made Me Smile This Week:

♥ Being accepted to a study abroad program for this coming summer! We are studying in London, Edinburgh, Paris, and Nice! Ah! I'm so excited!! I studied in Edinburgh two summers ago and have been dying to go back since then.
