A Peek Into My Life: Tour of My Room!

One of my favorite places in the world is my very own room...I love to escape to my cozy little spot in the world after a long day. I've always been an extremely visual person, so I have incorporated that into the decor. Last weekend, my mom & I happened upon the cutest farmers market. We ended up purchasing some organic coffee beans, a loaf of homemade sourdough bread, organic pomegranate lemonade, and an orchid for my desk. I was given strict instructions to tend to my orchid sparingly and only water it every 10 days or so. It's been such a challenge not to fuss over it because it's such a beautiful plant. I put it on my desk shelf to inspire me. AND it has already been the subject of one of my newest poems.

While organizing my desk, I had the idea to share a few snippets of where I live, breathe, write, and create on a daily basis. Most of friends & family tell me that I have a knack for making any space cute and cozy. Of course, I'm not an interior decorator by any means. I just have an artist's eye and know what appeals to my own specific taste. Here is a small peek into my world.

I just bought this desk last week. It's a wonderful place to create & study!

Of course, my desk would be incomplete without my darling filofax. I'm pretty much lost without it these days. It helps me stay organized & sane during the stressful parts of my week.

All of my walls are covered in inspiring wall art, thrifted pictures, and many of my favorite framed posters.

All of my various bags. I switch out my bag almost everyday, so I have to have my favorite replacements ready to go on my closet door.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

My window sill is completely covered in little things that make me smile.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
My dressing table is such a colorful & inspiring place for me.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
The books I'm currently reading on my night table. I love to read right before bed every night. It's one of my old lady qualities, along with the worst hearing in the world. I'm usually working on several books at once, so I stack them up by my bed so I can reach for them before I go to sleep. I'm also reading several books on my iPad, but I usually read those at the gym or while I'm waiting around during the day.

I always display pictures & cards whenever I receive them in the mail. I have several pinboards just for pictures, letters, and cards.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Another peek of my dressing table. These are my current perfumes & nail polishes.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
A view of my bed covered in a colorful quilt & matching decorative pillows. I adore quilts, although I've never tried quilting in all of my crafting endeavors. That may be something I should investigate further. A homemade quilt would be such an amazing accomplishment.

A dear friend gave me this snow globe a few years ago. I keep it on my desk shelf to remind me to cherish the wacky & wonderful people in my life.

Lots of love & positivity!

That is a picture of an owl I made in Paint on the computer. I didn't know how else to show it to you than give you my blog link. :/ Since you like owls, and I like owls, I thought if you wanted you could use this picture for anything. You have the artists permission (me!) to recreate it, print it, whatev. And if it's not your style of owl...do nothing with it.

Your room makes me miss my room before I moved and got married. It feels safe.

hi impossible mom. it´s really very easy.

1. you can scroll down to the button of the site. there you´ll find "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)"
if you follow the link there would be a new site where you klick the google button to follow with your google account.

oooor the second way:
enter your blogger dashbord, klick "add" or... i don´t know how it´s called in english. i got the german version. but right under the word "reading list" there is a button where you can add blogs you want to follow. just enter the link of jaques site and it must be done.

i hope it helped.
